DMEK INSTRUMENT Set: for the therapy of endothelial corneal diseases

With its DMEK instrument set, Geuder has found an innovative answer to the newest development in the field of posterior lamellar keratoplasty. The highlight of the set is the Szurman DMEK implantation cartridge. This cartridge allows the donor tissue to be handled touch-free and friction-free. The donor tissue is implanted into the patient's anterior chamber in a controlled and smooth manner. Due to the slender design of the cartridge, only a 3.0 mm clear cornea incision is necessary. The entire DMEK procedure can thus be conducted without the need for subsequent suturing.

  • Touchless

    • Delicate intake of the graft into the cartridge through aspiration by the syringe as well as gentle injection directly into the anterior chamber
    • Decreased risk of damage to the fragile graft and less endothelial cell loss

  • Frictionless

    • Smooth sliding of the graft into the anterior chamber through liquid
    • Safe flow of the graft due to streamlined design of the glass cartridge

  • Sutureless

    • Small incision size (3 mm) due to the slender opening of the cartridge
    • Reduction in surgically induced astigmatism

In addition to the sterile Szurman implantation cartridge, the new Geuder DMEK instrument set offers a selection of reusable instruments suitable for the preparation of donor tissue, the preparation of patient's eye and implantation of donor tissue. All instruments can be ordered separately.
